A borosilicate bottle that runs a three-minute electrolysis cycle at the base.

Press the button and the water fills with fine bubbles from the bottom up. Three minutes later the cycle ends on its own. That's what the bottle does, and it's genuinely nice to watch.

We're going to be unusually plain here: hydrogen water is an area of active research, and we are not going to tell you what it will do for your body. Plenty of people in the longevity and training world drink it daily and like it. We sell a well-made bottle that produces it. What you make of that is your call.

Notes from owners

• Use filtered or bottled water for a cleaner cycle and less residue in the base.
• Drink it within a few minutes of the cycle finishing — dissolved hydrogen doesn't hang around in an open glass.
• The base unscrews from the body for cleaning. Don't submerge the base.
