About Rootside
Rootside sells a small number of kitchen machines for people who want to make their own juice and then keep doing it.
That second half is the hard part. Almost everyone who buys a juicer uses it enthusiastically for two weeks and then stops, and it is almost never because they stopped caring about their health. It's because the machine was too big to leave out, or took eleven minutes to clean, or the juice went brown by Tuesday so batching was pointless.
So we choose against those failure modes specifically. Small enough to stay on the counter. Few enough parts to rinse in ninety seconds. Juice that survives three days in a sealed bottle. Every product here is picked for whether it survives month three, not whether it demos well in month one.
How we write about our products
You will find a section on most of our product pages that tells you what is annoying about the thing you are about to buy. The Press page says you'll chop for two minutes before you juice for three. The Swirl page says frozen-solid fruit will jam it. The H2 page says, plainly, that we are not going to tell you what hydrogen water does for your body.
This costs us sales. We think it costs us fewer than the returns and the bad reviews would.
What we don't do
We don't make health claims. Not about detoxing, not about immunity, not about inflammation, not about anything a doctor should be telling you instead. We sell equipment. What you put through it and what it does for you is between you and your kitchen.
Where the products come from
We don't manufacture. We source from established suppliers, hold US inventory where we can, and put our name on the ones we'd use ourselves. If that matters to you, we'd rather you knew it from us than worked it out later.
